Very simple sub shop just the basics but everything they make is delicious

A hometown favorite. They dont have lettuce, they dont take credit/debit cards and I wouldn't have it any other way. Small town living at it's best.

Classic New England submarine sandwich shop still run by locals and staffed with young people. Their fast service, simple menu and and comfort food make this a local, iconic destination.

Outstanding subs! Many complain they don’t have lettuce as a topping choice but most sub places that offer it usually dump a whole head on the sandwich. The sandwich is actually better without all that rabbit food on it anyhow, so well done Maria’s!

Maria's is lovely, it's never changed and it's as fresh as it's been since it has opened. They have the most delicious subs of any other place that I know. People will drive hundreds of thousands of miles just to have a bite of the sub that they had when they were a child.

Best subs on the planet.

The original and still the best. I am biased. I grew up in Scituate eating Maria's subs. They were the best then and the really weird and wonderful thing is that they taste the same after over 40 years of eating them. I still have family in Scituate so whenever we go we make some excuse to get Maria's subs.

Better and faster than most fast food places without the shame.

A local legend. The subs are as good as you will get. The pizza is sub shop pizza, good, but just get a sub; they are amazing.

Best Roast Beef sub ever.

Very delicious sandwich. I had turkey with pickles! They also have glutenfree pizza. Its importen for me too ate at a place that have glutenfree alternative because my boyfriend have allergies.

Since I was a kid my go to sub is a large Hot Pastrami (Boiled) with Provolone with mustard and Mayo toasted. Little salt and pepper. Order a snapple ice tea and chips goes perfectly as my choice for the last 30 years! Make sure you go at lunch time or they may microwave (Shame) your Pastrami later. Usually around 3pm. Love this place and the flavor perfectly the same when I would ride my bike there in the early 80's. Highly recommended!

Decent Italian meatball sub. One gripe however: I wish they had a way to combine turkey and ham but apparently everything is pre-portioned. Why not just teach the workers to portion correctly? Then you could combine meats, and charge for the more expensive one... Pretty simple, and almost every build-your-own restaurant does this already.

Best classic sub shop hands down. Love the bread, cubed pickles, hots. Our family travels out of its way to go here. Even shipped sandwiches to family out of state.

A scituate harbor institution. They tend to be fairly polarizing. People either love their pizza, or find it bland and uninteresting. Same with the subs. I fall into the "love it" category and get a pizza here whenever I'm in town. Not a good choice if you like "fancy"/"gourmet"/"hipster food" pizza - but if you want a normal pizza at a reasonable price in scituate harbor, a good choice. Their subs are not spicy, whether this is good or bad depends on your preferences.

The best subs. Drive 40 miles subs and the beach. Lived in Scituate been going since they opened in the 60's. Great Service even though the lines are long sometime.

Maria's is a sub shop as old as Scituate itself. Their food is timeless. Their recipe for success is their consistently high quality food and customer service. Great subs. The cubed tomato, pickles and onions make the sandwiches. Meatball with everything is the best. The sandwiches have gotten a bit smart o we the years but it is still our go to place.

Delicious same quality and taste from when I was a kid in the 80’s

Maria's is an old school sub shop that has been around for decades. I was there with a friend who grew up in Scituate in the 70's and 80's and Maria's was the place the family loved to go when mom didn't cook. My friends favorite was the chicken salad which I tried and it was good. The service was fast and friendly. I would visit again next time I'm in town.

Umm so like the BEST prices and delish subs. Also tried the pizza which was basic but awesome. Just know they don't do lettuce and you'll look like a fool if you ask for it on your sandwich. Hands down great place to get subs before you head out on the boat or day on the beach. Cash only.

My husband looooves Italian suns and he rarely has one. He has been known to drive into town to go to his “favorite” sub shop. The. I picked one up at Maria’s. He won’t go anywhere else.

Great food, very fresh, friendly staff, free parking. We will definitely be back when we're in the area for work again.

Well run establishment, great customer service and amazing food. I love the hot pastrami sub, I always get it. Good prices and they have their own bottled drinks. Their cream soda is delicious. Family friendly environment and always busy at lunch.

My favorite roast beef sub in the world. Don't skip the hots. Great Italian and meatball as well. Decent pizza, but do yourself a favor and just order a sub, you can't go wrong. Nothing gourmet, just simple fresh deliciousness. Toppings choices are diced tomatoes, pickles, onions, and hots. No lettuce on subs, you want lettuce you order a salad.
